Book Summary:

5 students. One death. Who did it?

The book starts off with 5 students: Bronwyn, Addy, Nate, Cooper and Simon. They have detention because of the fact that their “phones” were taken away at some point during the day to where they all ended up in detention. Simon ends up getting a drink of water rhat is contaminated with peanut oil, which Simon has an allergic reaction to due to the peanuts. Simon eventually dies due to not being able to get the allergic reaction under control. The other 4 become prime suspects of ‘who killed Simon’.

Secrets get reveal and people turn against the four who are prime suspects. Even the cops think one of them did it. Just due to the fact all four were in the room when Simon had the allergic reaction.

The murder club do get together to compare notes. Of what the clues mean. When one of their own go down and is sent to juvenile detention they are more willing to find out what the heck happened. They have three more people involved including: Coopers boyfriend, Bronwyn and Addys sisters. They figure out who did it and why.

Thoughts:

Ok. I adored this book. It brought me in. I love it when a mystery hooks you from the beginning. I wasn’t expecting the twist at the end because it wasn’t who I thought it was going to be.

Wasn’t a huge fan of the ending. Just because of Nate cutting out Bronwyn after she was willing to still be with him after everything that had happened over the last month or so. But other than that it was a pretty solid book.

Rating:

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
